About Sim

A career prosecutor, Sim Gill is currently the Chief City Prosecutor for Salt Lake City, the largest municipal prosecutor’s office in the state of Utah. He has more than 15 years of prosecuting experience through the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s office, Salt Lake City and Layton City. He has prosecuted in the areas of white collar crime, felony drunk driving, environmental crimes and the sexual exploitation for profit cases.

Sim is passionate about Salt Lake County and the people who live here. That’s why he believes the mission of Salt Lake County’s District Attorney’s Office is to not just create safe communities, but do it the right way – with integrity, professional competence, fairness, vision, and a passionate commitment to provide a high standard of public service.
